Awarded the International Postgraduate Research Scholarship with Australian Postgraduate Award, Mahmoud is pursuing his PhD studies in Information Technology and Communications at the University of Western Sydney (UWS). He joined UWS in 2009, where he is currently an Associate Lecturer with the School of Computing, Engineering and Mathematics. Mahmoud completed a Master of ICT (advanced) and a Master of Science (honors) from UWS. He also holds a Bachelor of Science (honors) from the Open University UK and the Arab Open University (Lebanon). His main teaching and research interests include: computer networking, security of networked systems, ubiquitous computing, ubiquitous health, e-health, health ICT, privacy and object oriented. He is also highly active in scientific publication; and recently won the best paper award in the ICTA conference.

• Apart from regular IT responsibilities such as ( creating the website,setting up emails,domain,forwarder..), designed,created and implemented the BR Money Transfer System (provide same functionality as western union system) . The system links 15 different countries together, provide access rights leveling to staff,agents and clients. The system organize the company inventory, finance and all the business transaction. It also provides cutomers with automatic tracking of the money transfer made overseas.
• Assigned the responsibilities of establishing the Finance and the IT department of BR Travel. Some of the achievement are: TCF (Travel Compensation Fund) and IATA (The Air Transport Association) licenses, and licenses such as( EFTPOS, Australia trade fair..). Developed BR Travel accounting system in addition to regular IT responsibilities.
